Notice of Extended Closure Due to Covid-19

Dear parents and students,

Following the extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) announced by the Malaysian government, please be informed that Welton Academy will continue to be closed until 14th April, 2020 (Tuesday).

At this unprecedented time due to the Covid-19 outbreak, your health and safety remains our utmost priority.

Since the MCO came into force, we have been working round the clock from home to move our classes online, so as to mitigate the disruption caused by the pandemic.

Online academic support will now be available to students from Year 3 to Year 11, providing them with interactive live online tutorials and also access to a wide variety of learning resources.

We will get in touch with you on what to do next in order to receive the online academic support.

Thanks.

Student Testimonial by Ng Zhi Fu

β€œI was a pupil from Chinese primary school before joining Welton Academy at Primary 6. It was easy to adapt to the environment here because of the tremendous support from the teachers and friends. I am thankful to have Mr. Ken and Mr. Raymond who had guided me through my Cambridge Primary Checkpoint last year. They teach whole heartedly and are able to make complex ideas easy to understand. In addition to benefitting from the strong academic support provided by the Academy, I am now more socially confident as well.” – Ng Zhi Fu

Zhi Fu is our current Year 7 pupil who passed all the three subjects in his Cambridge Primary Checkpoint last year with flying colours:
βœ… Mathematics – 5.9 out of 6.0 (Excellent)
βœ… Science – 5.2 out of 6.0 (Excellent)
βœ… English – 3.4 out of 6.0 (Good)

New Addition to Our After-School Activities List: Japanese Lessons

Besides offering English; Mandarin Chinese and Malay as our regular language school subjects, we have now incorporated Japanese as one of our interest-based after-school activities. The Japanese lessons will be conducted in a regular and systematic manner at Welton Academy.

We believe that learning another foreign language will provide our pupils a competitive edge in the future. This is especially so when Japan has always been one of the largest economies in the world.
